Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay

Vijay, (born as Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar on June 22,1974) is an Indian film actor. His mother tongue is Tamil. He began his career doing minor roles as a child artist in the Tamil Cinema industry.

Personal Background

Joseph Vijay was born on June 22 to S.A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar. He had a sister named Vidhya who died when she was just two. Vijay studied Visual Communications at Loyola College, but dropped out to pursue an acting career.He is interestingly also classmates with other prominent personalities Surya Sivakumar, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja, Jeevan and Vishnuvardhan.

He married Sangeetha on 25th August 1999. They have two children, Jason Sanjay, born on August 26,2000 in London. and Divya Saasha born on September 9,2005 in Chennaii.

Now Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay has been sponsoring such events for the past few years. He organizes such marriages as charity act through his fan clubs.

Vijay has also decided to build marriage halls in each district. The halls will also function as district headquarters of his fan clubs. If you start guessing as to what all these activities imply, just wait. He has also decided to design a flag for his fan club. A group of his close friends is working on designing the flag.

Vijay to do three roles!

It seems that the triple action mania has gripped Kollywood. After Ajith, Vadivelu and Vivek, the latest to join the list is Vijay. Vijay is to act in a film in which he will be doing three different roles. The film is to be directed by Gautham Menon. Though Gautham Menon is busy shooting ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, the director is also getting ready for the mega movie in which he would join with Vijay for the first time. Sources close to the director say that Vijay will be donning the role of a police officer after ‘Pokkiri’.
